The Schmetz Top Stitch needle has a long eye providing less stress on the thread as it passes through the eye. The Topstitch needle is useful for sewing with metallic, heavy, multiple and even poor quality threads. The long eye makes it particularly suited for patchwork/quilting and anywhere where thick threads are used.
