With a distance of 1/4″ (6.5 mm) from the needle entry point to the outer edge of the presser foot, sew using a ruler as a guide. The front of the presser foot is lowered, making it easier to see the needle area.
Adjust the height of the presser foot according to the thickness of the fabric.
Ruler foot sewing is made a lot easier with the Juki Sewing Machine Ruler Foot for HZL and DX Series. This popular technique has only been made available to longarm machines but now Juki makes this foot available to use any any HZL or DX series machine. The quilt presser foot for ruler is able to fit the ruler template onto its side face in all directions. The quilt presser foot is intended to be used for creating patterns with the ruler template.
