This set is for the newer pr models PR1055X, PR680W, PR1050X (produced Jan 2020 onwards, serial number A0BXXXXXX -, PR670E produced Jan 2020 onwards, serial number A0BXXXXXX -

If you have a older PR model which isn't listed and need a new blade set you will first need a new Needle Plate Base Complete which we can order in (contact us)

IMPORTANT:

Set Includes:

  • 1 × Movable knife

  • 1 × Fixed knife

Note: The movable knife is no longer supplied individually. For optimal performance, Brother recommends replacing the fixed knife at the same time as the movable knife.

Knife spacers are not included.

Improved Needle Plate Base Assy has been used since Jan. 2020 production.

(Serial No. A0BXXXXXX - )

The Flatness of certain area of the bottom of the Needle Plate Base Assy is now less than 0.03mm.

This new Needle Plate Base Assy is now available as one of spare part. Contact us to order in (none stock item)

How to recognize New Needle Plate Base Assy:

There is a white dot on the surface of the new Needle Plate Base Assy as a picture below or it has a notch on it as the drawing below. (in red circles)

   

Models that will require the change of the Needle Plate Base Assy:

PR600, PR600 II, PR620, PR650, PR650e, PR655, PR670e (Produced before Jan 2020), PR1000, PR1000e, PR1050X (Produced before Jan 2020)

Once the Needle Plate Base Assy has been changed on pre January 2020 models, the Knife set will be able to be used as standard. The base assy will not need to be changed again.
