This is the standard 4 step buttonhole foot which comes with most basic machines
This foot makes it possible to sew buttonholes longer than 2.5cm which you can only do with the smaller slider buttonhole foot.
It is also effective on tight areas such as cuffs where more freedom of movement is required than available with a sliding-type buttonhole foot.
This foot is a Genuine Janome item - Not in Janome packaging (as it often comes with machines)
