You can programme your machine to automatically lower the presser foot and start embroidering when you press the start/stop button. And the Innov-is NV880E automatically detects fabric being sewn and adjusts the tension to suit.

Great embroidery machine
Recently purchased as my first ever embroidery machine. I ordered on a day the shop was shut however my machine was still shopped put for next day delivery - amazing service from Couling Sewing and I highly recommend them. The machine - I absolutely love it! It's very easy to use and even has inbuilt tutorials which is great for a beginner. It doesn't appear to be noisy and stitches out beautifully. Bonus that it also cuts jump stitches! Suits my needs perfectly.
